About us

St. Miracle Works Educational Foundation is a registered and well recognized non-profit community development charity and African volunteer organization in Ghana which provides sustainable and ethical volunteer projects, and exciting adventure holidays in Ghana. SMWEF Ghana has been leading volunteer opportunities since the organizations inception. The organization has a wide range of sustainable development and humanitarian projects.

St. Miracle Works Educational Foundation (SMWEF Ghana) provides long-term sustainable interventions to problems in underserved communities in Ghana which are mainly caused by abject poverty. Poverty degrades the societal status of the people, causing challenges to many social and economic issues, and puts the disadvantaged in a vulnerable position in their communities.

Partnering these underserved communities where we work, we have identified five key areas where change needs to have positive impact if poverty is to become a major challenge. These key areas include: Education, Health, Agriculture, Water and Community Development. 

St. Miracle Works Educational Foundation design and conduct programs which contribute to the general welfare of the most disadvantaged and empowering communities with an emphasis on children, youth and women. Our development strategy and philosophy is that the rural communities need to tackle the problems and lift themselves out of poverty; we want to give them a helping hand that will create self-respect, self-empowered and the end results are super amazing and positive.

We have volunteering projects in Ghana that are directly benefitting the local people and underserved communities. Volunteer projects including construction and renovation, teaching, childcare, healthcare/medicals, organic farm work, sports etc. and all combined with memorable adventures and guided weekend tours. Our projects are established and designed in partnership and/or collaboration with the host communities with the aim of addressing a real need and genuinely making a difference to those deserving communities. 

SMWEF Ghana volunteer abroad and internship program is designed for participants from all over the world and suitable for students, volunteers, solo travelers, groups, professionals, seniors, families, gap years, career breakers and anyone looking to do volunteer work in Ghana. All programs/projects are year-round and actively ongoing with flexible start dates.
